Sheep Farming with Nuevo Agri

Thanks to our collaboration with GSC Food, a company specializing in sheep dairy products, we were able to talk to their Irish sheep milk supplier’s executive director: Michael Crosse from Sheep Milk Ireland. This family run sheep farm is the biggest one in Ireland, counting around 2500 sheep. Since the beginning of our collaboration with GSC Food, Sheep Milk Ireland has been using NUeVO Agri on the farm, to provide the best level of Bio Security.

Michael states they have been using NUeVO Agri for the last 6 months of the lambing season and are delighted with the results. “With a sheep dairy farm, there is a wide range of infectious diseases and ailments that can occur from the baby lamb right through to the sheep. With the main flock we have found significant improvements on the lameness of the sheep by regular foot bathing with NUeVO Agri, which has had a huge impact on the flock, increasing performance and making them much more pleasant to move around the farm.”

Michael continues by saying that they have had many problems in the past with Orf, Cryptosporidium, and different forms of bacterial scours with the lambs. “This year we’ve had very little of any of that kind of problems. It has been through regular cleaning of the lamb rearing area and teats for the feeding of the lambs.”

He concludes by saying: “To physically be able to clean the area and knowing that the product is working, gives us great confidence going forward.
