“We have trialled the Nuevo alcohol-free hand rub, and surface sanitizer at our industrial composting facility. We have found that the hand-rub is far superior to what we were using before. The previous product dried our staff’s hands due to the fact that they were using it multiple times daily. Because Neuvo is alcohol free, site staff are far more inclined to use it – safe in the knowledge that it won’t dry their hands. From an occupational hygiene point of view this is essential; dry skin cracks, leading to broken skin which provides a route for infection. Nuevo avoids these problems, and has a greater kill rate than alcohol based gels. We have found it ideal for use in the waste industry.
We have also used the Surface Sanitizer and Clean-All products for a number of cleaning activities. These range from cleaning sensitive monitoring equipment to deep cleaning industrial ductwork. The products are highly versatile, and much safer to use from a COSHH perspective than most other sanitizers. This means it is easier to include in risk assessments and method statements.”
“The Disinfectant is a very good quality product and may provide a ‘one stop’ solution in regards to a Disinfectant , (in comparison to chlorine based products used at present).
The product can be used to disinfect almost all surfaces in the office, kitchen, bathroom, shower, vehicle environments and includes soft fabrics etc.
The product is available in liquid form for use with mop and cloths, In a trigger spray is ideal in the emergency situation as the spray can be used to disinfect uniform, shoes etc as well as the vehicle and equipment including bags.
I would recommend this product as the secondary or terminal cleaning agent.
From Thames Ambulance procedures, Disinfectant must always follow the application of the detergent cleaner, ensuring that the bulk of the contamination has firstly been removed and the site made ‘visibly clean’ in order that maximum effect is derived from the application of the disinfectant. We are presently testing both pre and post clean with ATP technology and to date the results are positive.”
